About This Event
“Jokes Please!” is an award-winning stand-up comedy show that has been a weekly favorite for the past decade. The show regularly features the best Vancouver comedians, touring professionals, and even the occasional celebrity guest. Each Saturday, The RCC (4th and Arbutus) transforms into a part comedy club, part classic theatre style comedy show. Each show features different comedians and runs for about 90 minutes.
The show has been very successful since it started doing shows in Kitsilano in late 2022, with all of their shows selling out so far. This is why it’s recommended to get your tickets early. The show starts at 9 PM and doors open at 8:30 PM. Advance tickets cost $16 + fees, while door tickets are $20 + tax.
The line-ups change every week, but “Jokes Please!” regularly features comedians from Netflix, The Junos, Just For Laughs, and CBC’s The Debaters. With live comedy, every show is different, but each line-up is top-notch.
The first Saturday show at The RCC was a great success. The Russian Community Centre was transformed into an indie theatre that was packed full with a fun crowd that had a great community vibe to it. The organizers have been doing weekly stand-up shows every legal week for a decade, and getting tickets early is a good call as most shows sell out early.
