About This Event
The Kelowna Food e-Bike Tours is an exciting event that combines the thrill of cycling with the delight of food tasting. Organized by Food Tour Adventures, this event is designed to give participants a unique two-wheel food adventure. The tour is a perfect way to start your day, cycling from one fabulous restaurant to another, tasting healthy brunch foods directly from the imaginations of Kelowna’s top chefs. It’s a fresh air/food experience that you won’t soon forget.
The tour is designed to be family-friendly and is suitable for ages 12 and up. The biking level is easy and mostly flat, with an average riding time of 15 minutes between stops at a casual pace. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes (BYOB), but e-bike rental options are also available.
The tour includes a VIP-behind the scenes experience from Banff’s local food establishments, chef-curated meals, and gratuity to restaurants. The tour operates every day, rain or shine, and lasts for about 3.5 hours. Participants are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts.
The tour can accommodate most allergies (i.e., gluten, dairy, vegetarian), but these must be noted when booking as accommodations cannot be made on the day of the scheduled tour. The tour has a 7-day cancellation policy.
Participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather, ensure their bike is tuned-up, wear proper shoes, and bring a helmet, bike lock, sunscreen lotion, bug spray, water, and identification.
For those interested in renting e-bikes, they come with a complimentary helmet and will be dropped off and picked up at the meeting point. The e-bikes have 3 different assisted levels and if you want an exercise you can turn off the pedal assist.
The Food Tour Adventures are a fun way to explore Edmonton’s & Calgary’s culinary scene, parks, festivals, markets, art venues, outdoors, and urban life.
